Campus Venues

We’re happy to provide you with information on places to host your next on campus event – including reserving the Blue and Gold Rooms, located on the 3rd floor of BCE! We recommend reviewing our recruiting and academic calendar before choosing a date, to ensure there are no conflicts.

Blue Room (in BCE): U-Shape default configuration (30 ppl)

Gold Room (in BCE): Lecture default configuration (50 ppl)

To Reserve the Blue and/or Gold Room in BCE

Check availability on this calendar (3 weeks advanced registration needed)
Complete this form to request your room/time (available Mondays – Thursdays, 12pm, 4pm, or 6pm)
Post your event in Handshake (invoices sent through Handshake, so this step is mandatory)

- Cost for rental: $650 one room; $1,000 both rooms. Additional charges may be applied for custom room set up or additional time requests.

Alumni House

Located next to Sproul Plaza, the MLK Jr. Student Union, and Zellerbach Hall on the south side of campus. Their event space can accommodate between 100-300 guests, and includes an outdoor patio.

CITRIS and the Banatao Institute

They book rooms in Sutardja Dai Hall, which is located on the Northeast side of campus near many of the Engineering buildings.

Faculty Club

Centrally located on campus in a quiet, wooded area close to everything. Their staff is very experienced in working with employers to host impressive events. Their event spaces can accommodate between 30-300 guests.

International House

Also known as "I-House" is Berkeley's gathering place for International students. Noted for its classic Spanish/Moorish style architecture, it is located at the top of campus near the Haas School of Business. Their event spaces can accommodate between 25-400 guests.

To make a reservation, submit a request to Hospitality Services Team.

Jacobs Institute for Design Innovation

A modern building located near the Engineering buildings on the Northwest side of campus. Their event spaces accommodate between 45-130 guests.

Graduate Berkeley

A boutique, landmark hotel and the home of Henry's bar and restaurant. Located 1 block south of the campus, their event spaces can accommodate 50-70 guests.

The Hotel Shattuck Plaza

The original Berkeley hotel, a Mission style structure built over 100 years ago and recently renovated. Located in downtown Berkeley close to BART and 4 blocks west of campus, its event spaces can accommodate 60-300 guests.

Residence Inn by Marriott Berkeley

A new hotel located next to the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) and just across the west side of campus. Complete this online form to get started or call 510-982-2100 for more information.

Outdoor Spaces

There are limited outdoor areas where employers can table on campus. Before you decide on this option, we recommend that you consult with Employer Relations staff to determine if it fits with your recruiting strategy.

In general, only partners of the respective colleges, can table at the Haas School of Business or near the Engineering Buildings. Other available areas are managed by Berkeley Event Services. You can view these spaces and submit an event request inquiry online. Email eventservices@berkeley.edu or call 510-642-1141 if you have questions.
Locations for Coffee Chats
To schedule a coffee chat, you'll need to contact a local café and make all necessary arrangements. Most of the time you cannot reserve space beforehand, but need to arrive early on the day of your coffee chat to scope out space.
