Berkeley Career Engagement at UC Berkeley invites you to participate in Volunteer Opportunities. These events expose students to different career paths while helping them to prepare for summer internships and career employment.

The Job Shadow Program allows undergraduate students at Cal to explore their career direction by shadowing employers and alumni at their workplace.

These externships serve as an educational opportunity for students, during which they gain insightful experience in a professional environment, have the chance to explore a career area to which they might otherwise not have exposure, and build their professional network.

Sign up to host a student for at least one day through this low-commitment volunteer opportunity.

Join our new students for an evening of networking, food, and friends, on Saturday, August 22, 4:30-7:30pm. The university is seeking alums from the Classes of 2010–26 to welcome new first-year and transfer students at Golden Bear Orientation. Enjoy a free Cal-themed dinner together and share your personal and professional insights and experiences with the next generation of Bears.
You may have been involved in one of over 1,400 student organizations on campus, and know how valuable getting in front of those students can be.
