How did you get here?
I am a Cleveland native and new to the Bay Area. I spent the majority of my career (nine years) working in Sports Marketing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Throughout my tenure with the Cavs, I played a key role in launching innovative Fan Development programs, and leading promotional projects like City Edition campaigns, Social Impact Nights, Cavs Playoff Activations, the 50th Season Celebration, and more!
What I’ve always loved about sports is its power to bring people together, regardless of background or life experience. That’s one of the reasons I chose to work at Berkeley—because the institution shares that same value. My transition into higher education was a natural progression; in my previous role, I frequently found myself connecting with students through mentorship programs, community events, and other initiatives. It became clear to me that this was where my passion truly lies, so I made the decision to pursue it as a full-time career.
Who do you work with? What’s cool about your job?
I have the privilege of creating professional development programs that will connect students with employers and Berkeley Alumni. My goal is to use my passion and creativity to positively impact students, and build meaningful relationships that could lead to future career opportunities.
- As I was growing up, my dad often reminded me of this quote: “To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.” This has always been a powerful reminder for me to show up authentically and put my best effort toward everything I choose to pursue in life.
- Growth only comes with change.
- Teach One. Reach One.
Interests/Hobbies
I am a sports enthusiast, so I enjoy attending NBA, or NFL games preferably to cheer on my Cleveland Cavs, or Browns. I love to travel, see live music, and try new restaurants! I also enjoy spending time with loved ones, and staying active outside as much as possible. Volleyball, yoga, kayaking, paddleboarding, and hiking are a few of my favorites!
