Privacy Statement

The Career Center at the University of California , Berkeley is committed to providing its users good privacy practices regarding electronic personal information. We operate computer systems that are developed by our technical group and also partner with external organizations for our job listing/resume database and on-campus recruiting services. Information collected by our in-house systems is used to provide and tailor services to our customers. Information is also used to construct aggregate reports that assist us in program planning.  Any information shared with third parties is only shared in aggregate form.

Data collected by the Career Center for in-house systems are stored in a secure SQL server at the Career Center. These systems use "cookies" and some collect system information such as IP address and browser versions. Collection and access to student information is governed by campus and federal policy under the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), as well as the Privacy Statement for University of California, Berkeley Websites.

Job listing, on-campus recruiting and resume services are provided through the NACElink Network, a web-based recruiting system resulting from a new alliance between the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), a nonprofit professional organization for career centers and employers, Direct Employers Association, a nonprofit association of national employers, and Symplicity Corporation, an advanced technology provider for higher education and government.
