Resume and Letter Writing

Producing a good resume and a well written cover letter is a basic requirement for a successful job search. The Career Center is here to assist you with this important task by providing the following resources:

  • Job & Internship Guide - The Resume and Letter Writing section (PDF) of this Career Center publication contains information on how to write a resume and cover letter and samples to review.
  • Resume Critiques - Our Peer Advisors are especially good at working with students on their resumes. You could also choose to meet with a Career Counselor for a drop-in appointment or a longer counseling session, depending on what your needs are. Review our  Appointments page for information on how to sign up and where to find them. *NOTE: Please be sure to bring a printed copy of your resume with you to your appointment. If you need to print at the Career Center, you must have a resume uploaded into Handshake in order to do so.
