Our Career Center Peer Advisors for 2021-2022

AmandaAmanda Felty
Hello everyone! My name is Amanda Felty and I am a fourth-year at Cal, majoring in Nutritional Science. I plan on pursuing a career in medicine and hope to help people achieve a healthier lifestyle through proper nutrition. Aside from that, I am super passionate about music and I enjoy playing the piano during my downtime. I also LOVE traveling because not only is it the ultimate adventure but it also exposes you to new cultures and different ways of living. A fun fact about me is that I have lived in Russia for 3 and a half years growing up and it was actually my first language! Overall, I am super excited to continue my role as a peer advisor this semester and hope to be another friendly face that students can turn to if in need of any support or guidance. I always love a good conversation and meeting new people, so feel free to stop by anytime!

Mayra Herrera
Hi everyone! My name is Mayra and I'm a fourth-year transfer student studying Political Science and Chicano Studies. I am from Santa Ana, California, aka the heart of Orange County (at least in my opinion). I plan on pursuing a career in counseling, and hope to inspire more students to pursue higher education! Outside of school, you can find having picnics at the park, finding new places to eat, and jamming out to Harry Styles. When I'm on campus, I'm involved with the Raíces Recruitment Center as the Transfer Co-Coordinator, where I help my fellow transfers feel welcomed at Cal. I'm so excited to be a part of the Career Center and I can't wait to meet y'all at drop-in hours! :)

Tatiana Nikolaeva Tatiana
Hi! My name is Tatiana and I am a junior majoring in Political Science and Economics. I am from Sacramento, but some people say that I am out of this world? Apart from the Career Center, on campus, I am involved in the ASUC, PSC and I also teach a Personal Finance DeCal because I am super passionate about volunteering and appreciating our community. In my free time, I love practicing self-care by watching Korean dramas, going out to get boba with friends, and exercising. I am also learning more languages because I want to hopefully travel in the future. After graduation, I am planning to pursue law school and open my own non-profit organization. I am super excited to be a part of this wonderful team and speak with you during my drop-in hours :)!

David Lee

Greetings my fellow Bears! My name is David and I'm a fourth year studying Economics and I’m ecstatic to be returning as a Peer Advisor for the 3rd time. I come from the suburbs of Ohio, but I've moved around quite a bit (lived in 5 different places in the span of just 18 years). Coming to Cal was definitely one of the best decisions I've made as I met new people, experienced new cultures (i.e. didn’t know what boba was before coming to Cal), and learned more than I could’ve ever imagined. Outside of my work at the Career Center, this past summer I had the opportunity to intern as a part of PwC’s M&A Deals Advisory team and I previously served as the VP of Finance and Project Manager for on campus business organizations. Aside from academic/professional pursuits, I'm a Blackbelt in Taekwondo, I love playing the violin (had the opportunity to perform at Disney World and Carnegie Hall), and I'm a sports fanatic. I'm super excited to be returning to campus after 1.5 years of quarantine and I can't wait to meet you all!

Samantha Galindo
Hey Y'all my name is Sam and I am a junior majoring in Psychology. I am from Koreatown which is located in the LA area. I am really passionate about volunteer work and being involved in the community in any way shape or form. Some of my on-campus activities include volunteering at the Food Pantry, being an after-school mentor for K-5th children through the Sage Mentorship Program, and being a member of the Latinx Business Student Association. When I am off campus you can find me dancing in Oakland by Lake Merritt, at a new restaurant because I love food, or at farmers markets. I am really excited to get to be a part of this team and be able to work with you all this year. I can’t wait to meet y'all during my drop-in hours!! :)

Pamela HasbunPam

Hey! My name is Pamela (Pam) Hasbun and I use the She series pronouns. I’m an incoming fourth-year English major and Creative Writing minor with a passion for mentoring others and self-expression. As a first-generation student, I am interested in giving back to my community which has prompted me to join organizations like Matriculate which helps low-income, high achieving students with their college applications, as well as the Career Center on campus. I’ve also worked with Teach for America as an Ambassador because I firmly believe in educational equity. Outside of school, I love to go thrifting, being amongst nature, or simply staying home and catching up on all of my favorite anime. If I’m not doing any of that, chances are I’m curled up in bed working on a new chapter of the novel I’m writing! As a returning advisor for the Career Center, I’m really excited to see what this new year will bring, especially because my dream is to one day become a college counselor. Feel free to stop by any time. I can’t wait to meet everyone :)

Pauline Roxas
Hi everyone! My name is Pauline Roxas (ro-has) and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a senior double majoring in Psychology and Sociology. I was born and raised in the Philippines and I migrated to the United States when I was 16. I transferred from College of Alameda and this is my first “regular” semester at Cal. This is also my first year being a peer advisor and I am really looking forward to meeting students! For my hobbies and interests, I love binge watching shows like Criminal Minds, Law and Order, All American, etc. I also love traveling, especially going on spontaneous trips! I also love hanging out at the arcade to play Tekken and billiards. Other than that, I am passionate about social justice and giving back to my community in any way I can. After graduation, I am looking forward to working in the education field, specifically a position where I can help transfer students. I am so thrilled to be a part of the peer advising team and I can’t wait to meet y’all! Feel free to drop by during my drop-in hours to talk!
