Any current student can login to their existing Letter Service account using Calnet. If you are still a student but using Degree Verification to access our services, login to your Letter Service using the Alumni login instead.
I have already graduated and/or my Alumni Services have expired, how do I access my Letter Service account?
If you have graduated and have an existing Letter Service account, you can only access your file using the Alumni Login. Select "Forgot Your Password" to set or reset your password. If you receive an error message trying to set or reset your password, please email a screenshot of the error to Letter@berkeley.edu.
I am not a current student or an Alumni but have an existing Letter Service account. How do I login?
Any client with an existing online Letter Service account can login using the Alumni Login. You can set or reset your password by selecting "Forgot Your Password" but will need your CCID# to do so. If you receive an error message trying to set or reset your password, please email a screenshot of the error to Letter@berkeley.edu.
I am a current student or alumni but never set up a Letter Service and need to collect letters for admission and/or academic employment. What are my options?
You are encouraged to review established outside vendors, such as Interfolio or Virtual Evals (for graduate admissions) or the Chronicle of Higher Education Vitae for academic jobs. These suggested letter service vendors are able to provide a comparable service at a significantly lower cost to both students and alumni. You can also research to find other Letter Service vendors of your choice.
If you wish to maintain access to the letters filed in the Letter Service, you must establish an account with another letter vendor and then submit a Letter Transfer request. This one time, free transfer process will be available for a limited period. Letter Transfer procedure: https://career.berkeley.edu/Letter/LetterTransferProcedure .
If you have an established, online account with letters and have not submitted a request to transfer your letters to another Letter Service vendor, we will keep your file and letters in our system for a limited period.
