Dear Ms. Jones,

I am a sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley and I learned that you are a career networker through the Berkeley Career Network community.

I am very interested in learning all I can about typical career paths in the field of public policy and what skills I might need to develop during my remaining years at Cal. I would greatly appreciate speaking with you on the phone or having further contact via email to ask you a few questions about the field.

Are you available to speak within the next week or two? Please let me know if you prefer to communicate via email or phone. If you prefer phone communication, please let me know when would be a good time to reach you or you can call me at (777) 777-7777. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,

Jamie Williams
