Sue Harbour has spent the last 24 years in Career Services and has been with the Career Center at UC Berkeley since October 2018. Prior to Cal, Sue spent 12 years in Career Services at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill where she managed the day to day operations of a team of 25 to build career development programs that were innovative, industry-driven, and responsive to both the needs of students and the marketplace. While at UNC, she led an initiative to develop a comprehensive model of professional development for the 400+ full-time staff members within Student Affairs and overhauled the new staff orientation and onboarding process and created a structured mentoring program for Student Affairs.
Sue began her career in Higher Education at UC, Riverside where she spent 10 years in a variety of roles in the Career Center. She holds a M.S. in Counseling from Long Beach State and a B.A. in Sociology from Cal State, San Bernardino. Sue has presented at numerous conferences including: NACE, SoACE, NCACE, NCCA and NCDA. She has sat on the Executive Board of NCACE and served as the President of NCCDA during the 2012-2013 year. She has won numerous awards from the National Association of Colleges & Employers for innovative practices in Career Services both at UNC and UC Berkeley.
