Handshake offers a thorough article describing how to register and get started. Make sure you select University of California Berkeley as one of your schools. Once you've requested to connect with Berkeley it can take up to 3-5 days to approve your account.
Under normal circumstances it typically takes 3-5 days to process pending employer approval requests. If your request has not been aproved after a week, please log into Handshake and check your notifications for any comments on your registration. If the registration is incomplete, e.g. there is no web site address or the email domain does not match your company, there can be a delay in approval or your registration may be declined.

I registered as a new user for my employer and I’m waiting for someone to approve me. How do I get approved?
The owner of your company profile will receive an email once you have registered and can approve you. If that person is no longer with the company, contact us for assistance.
We are listed in the Handshake system as University of California Berkeley. Try typing "Berkeley" to narrow down your search.

Your job will not actually post to a school and show up under Job Postings until your account is approved at a particular school. You should be able to find all jobs under Postings/Jobs/All.
Make sure you have a descriptive job title, e.g., Customer Service Assistant instead of just Assistant. The job duties and qualifications should be clear and specific. To help you promote the position, you can reach out to student organizations or consider using our Student Email Service to send a targeted email.
In Handshake, click Fairs on the left menu. To find upcoming Berkeley fairs, search for “Berkeley” in the key word field. Click on the fair name, then the "Register" button on the next page.
In Handshake, click Fairs on the left menu and then select "Show Registered Only." We recommend you click “Follow Career Fair” on fairs you’ve registered for to receive updates and easily find them in the future.
Please visit this page for step-by-step instructions on booking info sessions. It is your responsibility to find a venue, make all of the arrangements with that venue, then notify the Career Center.
Once you have finalized all of the details, post the event on Handshake by going to "Create an Event" from your Handshake home page. If you do not see this option, contact us to ask for permission to "post events" on Handshake. Also consider using our Student Email Service to send a targeted email to students in Handshake.
