Letter Service Online

How to Check for Letters

Letters arriving at the Letter Service are posted online within 1-2 business days. To check for letters, log into your Letter Service Account. Select "Letters" to view a list of letters that are currently available in your account.

If you don’t see your letter posted, we have not received it yet. Make sure you follow up with your letter writer after they agree to write a letter of recommendation for you. As your deadline approaches, contact your writers to remind them. If they say the letter has been sent, be sure to ask when and how it was transported. Allow sufficient time for delivery and posting to your account.

As a general rule when a new letter gets posted, you and your writer will receive an automatic email notice from us, but you should always log into your account to confirm all information regarding letters received for your file.

Notice that Letter #5 does not have a completed date and the comment field indicates "pending waiver." This will appear when we have not received a waiver statement for the letter (more on waiver statements in the next section). This means that when the letter was received, there was no waiver statement attached or enclosed. You will need to submit a signed waiver statement before you can send that letter.
