Letter Service Online

Before You Make Requests

Before you make requests, check file expiration date. Do I need to reactivate my file?

If you are a student, or haven’t graduated, and you are being charged the One-Time-Send fees, you need to contact The Letter Service. The Letter Service can extend your membership if you are a currently registered student and have paid all the fees, provided that you submit a Degree Verification Form.

If you are an Alumnus and your file has expired, after you login you will be automatically directed to the One-Time-Send (OTS) request page. You may proceed to make a OTS and pay the increased mailing fees or choose to Reactivate your file. To Reactivate your file, see our How to Reactivate a File section for instructions.

To submit requests, login and click on Make Request. All requests must be submitted online. No email, fax or phone requests accepted.

  1. Verify that the letters and approved matching forms are in your file. Log on to view your list of letters. Note that a letter must have a "Completed" date in order for it to be sent.
  2. Have sufficient funds in your account to cover the cost of requests you will be submitting. The system will not accept requests without sufficient funds in your account to pay the applicable fees. Prepayment of mailing fees is required. You can either put in the exact amount to cover the total number of requests you anticipate making or you can deposit a lump sum, e.g. $100, into you account. Unused funds can be refunded later. See Fees for exact costs per mailing.

    You can submit payment by:

    • submitting credit card payment online - all major credit cards accepted. *Note: Clients overseas can only make payments if billing address in USA.
    • authorizing a credit card payment over the phone - MasterCard, Visa, Discover only
    • mailing in a Credit Card Authorization Form, check or money order
    • delivering a personal check, cashier's check, money order, or charging credit card or debit card in person

We do not accept cash payments and 3rd party checks nor do we accept credit card authorization via email or fax.
