CalJobs Employer PolicyThe CalJobs Employer Policy below describes the nature of jobs and employers appearing in CalJobs. Although we monitor the site periodically, we do not screen employers or jobs. Therefore, we encourage job seekers to use good judgment when interacting with employers. If you believe that an employer has misrepresented a job or his/her organization in any way, contact the Employer Relations staff immediately at (510) 642-0464 or by email. The CalJobs site is for the listing of bona fide full-time, part-time, seasonal, and short-term positions by small and large businesses, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, on-campus employers, households, and individuals who adhere to Equal Employment Opportunity guidelines. Positions that request donations, fees, or investments or are items or services for sale cannot be listed on CalJobs. We reserve the right to refuse CalJobs service to employers due to any of the following: requiring at the time of application personal information such as bank and social security numbers; misrepresentation by dishonest information or absence of information; fraud; harassment of UC Berkeley students, alumni, or staff; breach of confidentiality; failure to adhere to these Career Center policies and/or any violation of University of California rules and regulations, and local, state, or federal laws. The Career Center at University of California Berkeley provides a service to its students by allowing employers to recruit and interview its students, using campus facilities. In providing this service, the Career Center seeks to maximize student choice in their selection of prospective employment. The Career Center requires that any employer using campus facilities must abide by all applicable federal, state, and local laws prohibiting discrimination in hiring. |
