Callisto is your gateway to online Career Center services, exclusively
for Cal students and alumni. Callisto grants one-stop access to hundreds of jobs and internships via CalJobs
and On-Campus Recruiting (OCR), as well as other essential employment, internship and graduate school resources.
Career Counseling
Make an appointment with a Career Counselor to discuss
career decision-making and job search strategies. Counselors are available for either
45-minute regular appointments or 15-minute Mini-Appointments.
Career Fields
Information available in the Career Fields section
provides help for investigating career paths, industries, and opportunities for
gaining experience. Some examples of Career Field categories are

Business,
Education, and
Nonprofit & Public Service.

CareerMail
Sign up for CareerMail and receive timely
emails about special events, job openings, employer visits, career fairs, and
other news specific to career fields. Subscribe to as many categories as interest
you.
Graduate School Services
Counseling and resources for students
preparing for or applying to
graduate school, particularly for
medicine and
law.
Use the archives of Ask the Counselor to search for responses to your quick questions.
Use Online Statement Review to receive feedback on your graduate school statement.
Information Lab
Access to a resource center with 15 computer workstations and extensive
resources on careers, the job search, graduate/professional schools and
employers.
Internships
Resources include a comprehensive internships web section,
internship listings on CalJobs, information on finding
internships in specific career fields, the Early Bird Internship Fair,
the Internship & Summer Job Fair, internships programs, and
career counseling.
Letter Service
A repository for letters of reference for
admission to graduate/professional
schools or employment in education.
On-Campus Recruiting (OCR)
Provides the opportunity to interview with 350+ employers who visit the Career Center during the
Fall and Spring semesters. Full-time entry-level jobs and summer internships, primarily in
business and technical fields, are offered through OCR.
PhD ServicesCounseling, resources and workshops for PhDs and graduate students
pursuing academic positions and for those exploring options beyond academia. There is an
extensive web section devoted solely to PhD and other graduate students.
PublicationsSpecialized publications, such as the Job & Internship Guide
(with sections on
career exploration,
the job search,
internships,
resumes and letters, and
interviewing)
and premed guide,
are available in the Information Lab.
Students with Disabilities Program/Cal TransitionsIndividual counseling, specialized workshops, and resources addressing
disability issues related to career decisions, job search, and the special
recruitment efforts of employers.
What Can I Do With a Major In...What Can I Do With a Major In... is a web-based guide for undergraduates
seeking information about career paths chosen by graduating seniors in each major based
on annual surveys about their post-graduation activities.
Workshops and ProgramsTopics include career planning, applying to graduate and professional
school, summer jobs/internships, mock interviews, resume writing and job
search strategies. Listed in the online Calendar.
