Letter ServiceStart requesting letters of recommendation and have them held for you at the
Letter Service. Submitted letters of recommendation
will be held for five years.

The section Is Pharmacy For You? is an excellent comprehensive page with a variety of documents about career options and the outlook for the future in this field. The American Pharmaceutical Association (AphA) provides information, education, and advocacy to help all pharmacists improve medication use and advance patient care. The Students section (link is in left navbar) gives information about activities of pharmacy student chapters regarding career development. California Pharmacists Association (CphA) is a professional organization that pays attention to policy and legislative issues in California regarding the pharmacy profession. The job listings are useful for the pre-pharmacy student considering the job opportunities in this field. Pharmacy Week is the site with the most current salary information, job listing, and professional issues. Worth examining before you head to your pharmacy school interview to familiarize yourself with some jargon in this field. DrugTopics.com - Online newsletter for Pharmacists. Read a recent cover story on Pharmacists' salaries. Prepharmacy CounselingThe Career Center has counselors to assist you in the preparation and application process. You may make an appointment with a counselor by calling 642-1716. CatalogsThe Career Center maintains a library of pharmacy school catalogues and reference material for your convenience in researching and selecting schools. These can be found in the Info Lab. Be sure to take a look at the Pharmacy School Admission Requirements (PSAR) which provides statistical information on admissions and graduation for all pharmacy schools in the US. Additionally, School of Pharmacy catalogs may be found at the Career Counseling Library, just outside the Tang Center at 2220 Bancroft Way. |
