Degree Verification Option

Eligibilty

Only currently registered students can use CalNet to log into Career Center services and programs including CalJobs. If you are not registered for the current semester (fall or spring), you will not be able to access Career Center services through the CalNet login screens and your access to CalJobs will be disabled. (Letter Service clients, see special note below.)

Under some circumstances, students may request a Career Center ID which can be used to login to Career Center programs and services including CalJobs:

Filing Fee students:

Complete the top portion of the Degree Verification Form (PDF) and attach a copy of your Filing Fee receipt.

Other students must meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Were registered for the previous semester (fall or spring)
  2. Are scheduled to graduate by the end of the current semester
  3. Are certified by your department or college as an ongoing student in good standing
Complete the Degree Verification Form (PDF) and have it signed by your college or departmental adviser. Incomplete information will delay your access to Career Center Services.

Mail or bring the completed documentation to the Career Center Info Lab. After processing, your Career Center ID will be issued via email within 2 business days.

Alumni - If you have graduated and would like to maintain your access to Career Center services, sign up for Alumni Advantage.

Special Note for Letter Service Clients
Even if you are not registered this semester, you can still view your Letter Service file by using your Career Center ID which can be found in your "account information." If you can't find it, fill out the Forgot Your CCID? form and it will be emailed to you. When you login to the Letter Service using your Career Center ID, be sure to use the "Alumni Login" rather than the student "CalNet" login option. If you want to use other Career Center online services, you must complete the Degree Verification form as explained above.

Once you have graduated, you can continue to view your Letter Service account using your Career Center ID. However, to make requests, you will have to either pay the higher "One-Time Send" rates, or purchase an Alumni Advantage membership.
