Externship Program - Alumni Invitation

Special Invitation to Cal Alumni

Would you like to:

offer your career perspective to a Cal student?
enhance the Cal community beyond the campus?

We invite you to participate in the Career Center's Externship Program. Cal freshmen and sophomores who are exploring their career direction will be placed in Externships where they can shadow you and possibly other Cal alumni at your workplace.

You can host a Cal student, who is considering a possible career in your field, for a day or longer during Winter Break. By sharing your expertise and knowledge about work and careers with a UC Berkeley student, you can become a coach in advising him or her about career development. Check out the comments from past externs and sponsors.

If you would like to offer a Cal freshman or sophomore an externship at your organization, please contact the Externship Program Staff at (510) 642-3312 or by email. We recruit alumni sponsors through late September for the following Winter Break, but we would be happy to give you more information about the program any time of year.
