Campus Resources

The Disabled Students' Program (DSP) provides academic support services to students with disabilities. They also have on-campus support groups. These are weekly informal drop-in groups for students with psychological problems, chronic illness or pain, Repetitive Stress Injuries and learning disabilities, ADD, or traumatic brain injuries.

Cal Alumni Association Student Alumni Mentor Project (SAMP) - SAMP coordinates several Program Partnerships between campus organizations and alumni clubs, which are designed to address the needs of the diverse campus population. This includes outreach to Cal alumni with disabilities interested in being mentors to current students with disabilities.

The DSP Student Grant provides students with disabilities who are eligible for Financial Aid funds to assist them in purchasing assistive technology and/or equipment for disability-related needs.

Applying for Accommodations - The Career Center's information on applying for accommodations on pre-graduate and pre-professional school examinations.

Community Resources

The Center for Independent Living - Local community agency providing financial benefits counseling, housing referrals, a monthly Legal Clinic and other services for people with disabilities.

RSI Support/Injured Workers Groups are self-help groups that provide information and support to people with repetitive strain injuries.
